 The segmentation of consulting services varies greatly from one organization to another and from one country to another. The categorization is unclear, particularly because of the upheavals experienced by this industry in recent years.

1 One of the approaches is to separate services into four main service delivery families, considering which types of business managers they are addressing:

   - Services related to the general strategy of the company, addressed to the president;

   - Marketing,  communication, sales, public relations services for the director of communications;

   - Services related to management, financial management, taxation, accounting, compliance with regulations,      for the director of financial affairs;

​

   - Services related to the company's operations, including information technology, intended for operational        management, which may be different depending on the industrial sector (technology directors, plant                managers, operations managers, plant managers) Research and Development.
